Ingredients

How to make it

  • Crumble into mixture 1 cake compressed yeast or 1 package dry yeast.
  • Stir until yeast is dissolved.
  • Then add 2 /12 to 2 3/4 cups flour, adding in two additions, using amount necessary to make dough easy to handle.
  • Turn dough on floured board, cover, let stand 10 minutes to tighten up, then knead until smooth.
  • Cut in any shape, cover, let rise at 85 degrees until double in size, for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.

I love cooking with buttermilk! It gives such a great appearance to the dough - fluffier somehow!
