- 1 recipe sweet dough or frozen sweet bread dough ( yeast dough ) shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1 tbs flour shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- optional vanilla flavor to taste shopping list
- heavy cream shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- optinal cinnmaon to taste shopping list
- red berry jam as desired ( apricot is nice too ) shopping list
How to make it
- Using a sweet roll dough recipe (frozen dough works well),roll dough to fit the bottom of a square pan. after dough has been prepared, risen double and punched down; then fit dough into pan
- Spread on top of dough: the mixed togther,sugar, egg, flour, and add a little cream if mixture is too thick
- On top of this mixture sprinkle the mixed rivel topping:
- ( work into into crumb mixture.)
- Then drop a little berry jam here and there,
- Then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Cool to warm.
- Serve warm or room temperature
- Note: Dough recipe makes 2, 9 inch cakes but filling/ topping is only for one cake and double to make 2 square pans or one 9 x 13 pan.
