I found this recipe in my Food and Family Magazine by Kraft. Didn’t change much about it. This is how I made it. It was not only good but it was pretty too. As a side I drained off a can of black beans, mixed about a cup of shredded Mexican cheese and maybe 1/2-cup salsa in it and mixed well. Read more . Black Bean Salad. See less
Ingredients
- 1-lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1-pkg taco seasoning mix shopping list
- 1/2-cup water shopping list
- 4-flour tortillas (each one cut into fourths) shopping list
- 1-cup thick and chunky salsa shopping list
- 1-cup shredded mexican cheese shopping list
- 1-cup shredded lettuce shopping list
- 4-green onions, chopped (tops and bottoms) shopping list
- 1 large red ripe tomato, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare the beef as directed on the taco seasoning mix packet. Drain off and put ½ the meat into the bottom of a glass pie dish.
- On top of that put 8 pieces of the cut up tortillas.
- Top the tortilla with the rest of the meat and then the remaining pieces of the tortillas.
- Top the “pie” with salsa, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and chopped onions.
