This is a variation of a regular chocolate chip cookie recipe, that is so easy to make! I love the way the irregular pieces look and how fast it is to prepare.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Add granulated sugar and mix well.
  4. Add flour and stir until well-blended.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips until thoroughly combined.
  6. Press evenly into ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  9. Break into irregular pieces.
  10. May substitute peanut butter chips, milk chocolate chips, or white chocolate chips for variation.
  11. Store in tightly-covered container.
