How to make it

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter. Turn off the heart; add brown sugar and stir until smooth. Add beaten egg.
  • Stir together the flour and baking powder.
  • Stir flour mix into brown sugar mixture.
  • Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  • Pour the batter into a prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350.
  • When cool dust the top with sifted confectioner's sugar.

    Pardon my correction, but I wasn't sure when to add the egg, so I looked up the recipe - add the beaten egg after the butter/brown sugar mixture is smooth.
