- 4 cups milk shopping list
- 30 mℓ flour shopping list
- 30 mℓ Maizena shopping list
- 30 mℓ custard powder shopping list
- 30 mℓ sugar shopping list
- 5 mℓ salt shopping list
- 2 eggs separated and both well beaten shopping list
- 5 mℓ vanilla essence shopping list
- 250 grams butter, melted shopping list
- sugar + cinnamon mixture shopping list
How to make it
- Mix together maizena, flour, custard powder and salt and make into a thin mixture with some cold milk
- Bring the rest of milk to boil and slowly add the flour mixture, stirring continuously
- Continue stirring, taking care that there is no burning
- Add beaten egg yolks and mix well
- Remove from heat and cool slightly then fold in beaten egg whites and add vanilla essence
- Spread thin layer melted butter in dish. Then add spoonfuls of the custard. Pour teaspoon of butter over each dumpling and then dust with sugar/cinnamon mixture.
- Pour the remaining butter over the dumplings. Ensure a full cover of sugar/cinnamon
- Serve hot
