Blueberry Dessert Pizza

- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 3 to 5 tablespoons cold water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sugar shopping list
- Filling Ingredients: shopping list
- 1 (21-ounce) can blueberry pie filling shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or almonds shopping list
- Topping Ingredients: shopping list
- heavy whipping cream, whipped, sweetened, if desired shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 400°F. Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar and salt in medium bowl; stir in butter with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in enough water with fork just until flour is moistened and mixture forms dough. Shape dough into ball.
- Press pastry into 12-inch circle on large greased baking sheet; press dough to form 1-inch fluted edge. Sprinkle bottom and edges with 2 tablespoons sugar. Prick bottom of crust all over with fork. Bake for 12 minutes or until edges just begin to brown.
- Spread pie filling on hot, partially baked crust; sprinkle with pecans. Continue baking for 10 to 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve warm with dollop of sweetened whipped cream, if desired.
- You can use any flavor pie filling that you like! Try cherry in the summer, apple in the fall, etc.
