Chocolate Balls Recipe
My mom makes these at Christmas time. YUMMY!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup frozen flaked coconut (thawed)
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 sticks of butter (melted)
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1/2 paraffin bar
  • 1 package semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Mix together all ingredients except for the paraffin and chocolate chips.
  2. Shape this mixture into balls smaller than golf balls.
  3. Use a double boiler to melt the paraffin and chocolate chips over boiling water.
  4. Use a toothpick as a fork to pick up each ball and dip into chocolate then place on wax paper to cool.
  5. Makes about 50 balls.

Whats a paraffin bar? :o|


Its like a wax bar. You don't taste it in the chocolate but it makes it all shiny and cool nicely. You would probably find that in the canning section of the grocery.


These are very easy and good. I do not use the paraffin, I use a little Crisco lard, it gives the same glistening but I find it a little safer than the paraffin. However, my mother used paraffin in her recipes and I'm still here. Thanks for the great recipe.
