  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch, stir in water.
  2. Bring to a boil; stirring constantly, boil for 1 minute.
  3. Add blueberries.
  4. Pour blueberry mixture into a lightly buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish or 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and drizzle with 1 teaspoon melted butter.
  6. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Pour milk and 3 tablespoons melted butter into a measuring cup; add to flour mixture all at once.
  8. Stir just until mixture is moistened and forms a ball.
  9. Drop spoonfuls onto the blueberries.
  10. Bake at 425 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned.
