Spinach Feta Strata

- 10 slices French bread (1" thick) or 6 croissants, split shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups (6oz) shredded monterey jack cheese shopping list
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese or shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In a greased 13x9x2" baking dish, arrange French bread or croissant halves with sides overlapping. In a bowl, combine the eggs, milk, spinach, salt, nutmeg and pepper; pour over bread. Sprinkle with cheeses. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- Remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350ยบ for 40-45 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
