Ideal dessert for all you chocaholics out there. My family and friends love it.

Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup of butter
  • 11/3 cup of surar
  • 2 sq unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 21/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk or, if you have no buttermilk, add 1T vinegar to a cup of regular milk\
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • Icing
  • 3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
  • 3 T. butter, soft
  • 1 pkg. powered sugar
  • 7 T. half and half or cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows

Directions
  1. cake..Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
  2. Add Chocolate
  3. Add flour, soda and salt alternately with flour and milk
  4. Pour into 9x12 pan. That has been sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Let cool and loosen edges.
  5. icing...In double boiler melt chocolate with butter
  6. Sift sugar in bowl. Add milk and Vanilla.
  7. Add Chocolate and butter.
  8. sprinkle cake with marshmallows and nuts.
  9. pour hot icing over all. Maybe topped with cherries and whipped cream.
