This was one of my mother's quick desserts. The big problem was having our pound cake not already devoured in order to make this. She started freezing and hiding slices for when she wanted to surprise us with this and we did not complain.

Ingredients

2 slices pound cake, stale works best shopping list
1 scoop ice cream shopping list
berries shopping list
syrup or other topping shopping list

How to make it

Lightly toast the pound cake slices
Top with a scoop of ice cream
Pile on berries
Top with either chocolate syrup or the Banana Dessert Sauce I already have posted.
Gobble it up

Well it's about time you gave me some decadence, Borinda...heaven knows, I've been loading you up with them lately! I've seen recipes for toasting pound cake, but have never remembered to try it - I will have to do so now. Given I can successfully hide some slices, this would be wonderful with the sweet berries we have right now (picked up some unbelievably delicious raspberries in Bayfield this weekend). Bring on the decadence!
PS - I don't recall seeing your Bananc Dessert Sauce, so I'm off to check that one out...
