Fish Pie

- 3 tbsp butter shopping list
- 3 tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/2 to 1 tsp curry (opt) shopping list
- tin smoked fish shopping list
- 2 tsp sherry (opt) shopping list
- 1-2 tsp lemon juice shopping list
- 2 tbsp vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup peas shopping list
- Opt extras:hard boiled eggs, tomato, pineapple shopping list
- (can use cooked white fish such as cod or sole, hoki shopping list
How to make it
- White sauce: Melt butter and stir in flour and curry slowly. Gradually add milk 1/2 cup at time continually stirring and boiling between additions.
- Pie: add to sauce tin smoked fish, drained and mashed.
- Add sherry lemon juice vinegar, peas, and other opt. ingredients
- Cover pie with precooked mashed potato, breadcrumbs and little knobs butter.
- Cook in oven 30 minutes 180 degrees celsius or microwave to heat then quick brown under grill if in a hurry.
