Ingredients
  • 2 cups Turbinado sugar
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg (freshly ground if possible)
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 cups Pecans

Directions
  1. Combine first six ingredients in a 3 quart microwave safe casserole dish, mix well.
  2. Cover the dish with waxed paper (do not use casserole lid as the mixture must breath), and microwave on high for 4 minutes; stir well.
  3. Microwave for another 2 1/2 minutes or until the mixture reaches soft ball stage.
  4. Add pecans and stir until well coated.
  5. Spread the nuts and separate them with a fork on a baking pan covered with wax paper.
  6. Cool and serve.
