Ingredients
  • 6 med. size vadailia onions
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped brazil nuts
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked wild rice
  • 2 tbls. lemon juice
  • 1egg slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt & pepper
  • paprika
  • 1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs
  • 1/4 stick butter
  • 1 tbls. soy sauce

Directions
  1. Peel & remove a slice from the top of each onion.Boil about 30 min. until almost tender. Scoop out center to make shell 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Combine nuts, rice,lemon juice,egg, and rest of salt & pepper . Fill onion shells. srinkle with bread crumbs and paprika.Place 1 pad of butter top each with drop of soy sauce. Bake at 350 about 15 min. or heated thoroughly. Serve as side .

You know how I love onions!! We will be making this one soon, I'm sure. Onions and wild rice - what more could I ask for??


I have never had stuffed onions so I am going to go with this one especially with the wild rice.
