How to make it

  • Cream butter and honey well, add beaten egg, sour milk, flour sifted with soda, spices and salt. Mix well and bake in two layers in a slow oven 275 degrees, for about 30 minutes.
  • Watch close for honey cake burns very easily.
  • You can use your own icing or serve hot without icing.
