Feta Cheese Straws Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb feta cheese

2 c. flour

1/2 lb unsalted butter, softened

1 egg white, beaten

caraway seeds

Directions

Preheat oven to 400.

In large bowl, mix cheese, flour and butter; knead for 10-12 minutes or until beautifully silken. Flour countertop and roll dough out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut strips 4" x 1/2" wide. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds.

Bake 7-8 minutes; reduce heat to 350 and continue baking about 10 minutes more or until lightly browned.
