Egyptian Kosheri

- 1 cup lentils shopping list
- water and salt shopping list
- 1 cup raw elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1 cup raw basmati rice shopping list
- 1 cup drained canned chickpeas shopping list
- 1 Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1 large onion sliced shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic minced shopping list
- 1 chil pepper of choice, seeded and minced shopping list
- 1/2 tsp tumeric shopping list
- 1 cup tomato puree shopping list
How to make it
- Cook lentils in salted water till tender.
- Drain and set aside
- Cook pasta and drain
- Cook rice till tender and fluffy
- In pan in oil oil saute onion and garlic, then chiles and tumeric till onion tender.
- Add and heat tomato puree.
- Add in everything else and cook and stir to heat through.
- Salt to taste
