How to make it

  • Melt the butter in a frying pan, add onions, stir over heat until golden brown. Add paprika and vinegar, stir until combined.
  • Add chicken pieces to pan in a single layer, cook until browned, turning occasionally. Add water, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook covered until chicken is tender, about 30 mins.
  • Meanwhile, cook potatoes in boiling water until tender, drain.
  • Add combined cornstarch and sour cream and potatoes to chicken, cook until mixture boils and thickened.

    I made this tonight & it was a big hit. It's paprikash with vinegar added - yummy! Next time I'll make it with rice or noodles instead of the potatoes, since there was an awful lot of sauce left over. Or maybe just halve the amount of liquid. Great post, thanks for this one!
