How to make it

  • Set peppers on a broiler pan so they are 5 inches below the broiler element. (I use the BBQ) Broil, turning often, until peppers are blisered and charred on all sides, about 25 minutes. Place peppers in a paper bag, close bag tightly.
  • Let rest for 20 minutes to loosen skins. Remove peppers and strip off skins. Cut peppers into quarters and remove stems and seeds. Cut peppers into 1 inch strips and freeze in containers.
