How to make it

  • Combine sugar and water to make a simple syrup
  • Dip peaches in boiling water, quickly remove and slip skins off. Cut in half and remove pit.
  • Stud peaches with a few whole cloves.
  • Place peaches, syrup, vinegar, cinnamon and 1 Tbs whole cloves into a sauce pan. Heat to boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Drain and serve warm or chill and serve later.
