This is one of my favorite meals to eat with Basmati Rice. It is so good that you will CRAVE them again and again.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef ( ground lamb or chicken can be substituted)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chopped Ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Corriander
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon tumeric ( saffron if you have it )
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 5 green chilies
  • 1 bunch of cilantro
  • Juice of 1 large Lemon
  • 2 slices of bread- soaked in water then squeezed to drain- tear apart
  • 1/4 bunch of mint leaves - chopped
  • 1 egg- beaten
  • Bread crumbs
  • Canola Oil to fry
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Mix onions, chilies, cilantro, mint and the juice of the lemon.
  2. Add the spices
  3. Add the ground meat
  4. Add the bread
  5. Add the egg
  6. Mix all ingredients and shape into small balls.
  7. Roll in the bread crumbs
  8. Flatten into small patties
  9. Fry until brown
  10. Njoy with rice
