How to make it

  • Mix ground tomatos with salt drain in cloth bag over night. Grind cabbage, green peppers, red peppers, onions. In a big pot or kettle mix vinegar, sugar and all spices. Add all ingredients and cook until onions are translucent. Seal in sterilized jars . Makes 10 pints.

    Where was this last fall when I had a coupld of bushels of green tomatoes on the eve of the first hard frost? (That's OK, I discovered chutney.)
    I know this will be good and will file it for use in the fall!
