Flounder In Wine Sauce Recipe
This is an impressive and very tasty flounder dish that I got from a dear friend a few years back. Everyone loves this when she serve it. Hope you do too.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds skinned flounder fillets
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tomatoes sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh crushed basil

Directions
  1. Sprinkle fillets on both sides with salt and pepper then place in single layer in greased baking dish.
  2. Arrange tomatoes over top of fish then sprinkle with salt and pepper
  3. Blend flour into butter then add milk and gradually cook until thick and smooth stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in wine and basil then pour sauce over top of tomatoes.
  5. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
