Ingredients
  • 3 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • pure flavor oils of your choice
  • food colors of your choice

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients, stir and bring to a boil.
  2. Stop stirring and let temperature reach 310 on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat, and after it stops boiling:
  4. Add 1 or 2 teaspoons of any flavoring you choose (make sure you use only pure flavoring or candy flavor oils, not extracts)
  5. Add 1 or 2 drops of coloring, or as much as needed to get desired color.
  6. Stir gently so it doesn't get cloudy and pour quickly and carefully in a buttered, foil lined cookie or jelly roll pan. If you don't stir too much, you get a stripy-swirly pattern - cool!!
  7. Dust with powdered sugar.
  8. (You can also cover the foil with powdered sugar and skip the butter part)
  9. When completely cooled, crack and enjoy!

  12. Cinnamon: Red - 3 -6 drops
  13. Clove: Peach - 1 red, 3 yellow
  14. Rose: Rose - 5 red, 1 blue
  15. Pepperment: green - 3-6 drops
  16. Grape: Purple - 3 red, 3 blue
  17. Orange: Orange - 3red, 3 yellow
  18. Lemon: Yellow - 3-6 drops
  19. Anise: Turquois - 5 blue, 1 green
  20. Etc, etc, etc.................
