Ingredients
  • 3 jars (10 oz. each) maraschino cherries
  • 1 pint brandy
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions
  1. Drain cherries; reserve 1 cup syrup. In a 2-quart jar, combine reserved syrup, brandy and sugar; stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Stir in drained cherries. Store in tightly covered jar in cool place for 2 weeks.

  3. Serve on ice cream or drain and use cherries for thumb print cookies or other cookies. Remaining syrup may be served as a cordial.
