Savory Beef and Mushroom Pie

- 1 box refrigerated pie crust, softened shopping list
- 1 lb lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 1/2 C sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 3/4 c chopped onions ( 11/2 medium) shopping list
- 3 Tbl flour shopping list
- 1 envelope savory herb with garlic soup mix (Lipton has it) shopping list
- 1/2 C half and half shopping list
- 1 pkg (3 oz) cream cheese, cut into pieces and softened shopping list
- 1/2 C shredded swiss cheese (2 oz) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375F
- Line a 9 inch glass pie plate with one crust
- In a 12 inch skillet, cook ground beef, mushrooms, onion and flour over medium heat 10 - 12 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is cooked through and liquid has evaporated
- Stir in soup mix, half and half and cream cheese
- Cook, stirring constantly until cheese has melted and mixture is hot
- Remove from heat and stir in Swiss cheese
- Pour into pie crust lined pie plate
- Top with second crust; seal edges and flute; cut slit in several places in top crust
- Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until crust is golden
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving
- Cut into wedges and serve
