light little scones not to sweet so u can add all the freshly whipped cream and jam you like

Ingredients
  • 1tbs icing sugar
  • 310grams lo plain flour
  • 11/2 tsp of baking powder
  • 250mls milk
  • 30grams of butter
  • and a pinch of salt

Directions
  1. pre heat oven to 220co
  2. in a large bowl sift together all the dry ingredients
  3. then add milk and butter
  4. with a knife cut the wet ingredients in with dry until all comes together
  5. in the bowl knead dough lightly to form a ball then leave to rest for 4 minutes under a damp cloth
  6. lightly flour bench and once rested turn out onto lightly floured bench top
  7. roll out dough to about 4cm thick and using a pastry cutter or knife cut pastry into round disc like shapes or any shape of your desire
  8. brush tops of scones with a little milk and sprinkle a little light brown sugar if desired and bake for 10 minutes
