Peppered Sirloin Steak Recipe
PEPPERED SIRLOIN STEAK This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Marlin Estate in Heath, Texas in 1998.

Ingredients
  • 2-1/2 pounds sirloin steak
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions
  1. Lightly score edges of steak at 1” intervals.
  2. Preheat grill or broiler.
  3. Combine butter, parsley, onion, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and mustard in small saucepan.
  4. Heat stirring continually over low heat until butter melts.
  5. Reserve 1/4 of the mixture.
  6. Place steak on grill or broiler pan then brush several times with butter mixture.
  7. Cook basting frequently with butter mixture 6 minutes per side.
  8. Place steak on a serving platter then cut thin slices across the grain.
  9. Drizzle reserved butter mixture over steak.
