How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare 9 x 13-inch baking pan by spraying with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, using electric mixer, cream softened butter and brown sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Beat in vanilla.
  • In small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add flour mixture to creamed mixture in large mixing bowl.
  • By hand, stir in chopped pecans.
  • Spread evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for approximately 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and cool slightly while making maple cream sauce.
  • FOR SAUCE:
  • Combine maple syrup and butter in medium saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cook and stir while continuing to boil for three minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in evaporated milk.
  • Cut brownies into squares.
  • Place on dessert plates and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • Drizzle maple cream sauce over top of ice cream and brownies.
  • Sprinkle with additional chopped pecans if desired!
