Starbucks Caramel Scones

- 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup light or heavy cream shopping list
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list

- Modest pinch of nutmeg or cloves shopping list
- 1 cup milk or heavy cream shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon butterscotch extract (optional) shopping list
- 1 cup butterscotch chips shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated walnuts (optional) shopping list

- 1/3 cup butterscotch chips, finely chopped in food processor shopping list
- 1 egg white, whisked shopping list
- confectioners' sugar (optional) shopping list
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line top sheet of doubled up baking shopping list

- In a food processor, place the flour and butter and pulse to break up shopping list
