Biscuit Apple Dumplings Recipe
BISCUIT APPLE DUMPLINGS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Sims Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1991.

Ingredients
  • 10 ounce can biscuits
  • 5 granny smith apples peeled and sliced
  • 10 ounces lemon lime soda
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
  1. Roll biscuits thin then place raw apple on each and fold over.
  2. Put in baking dish folded side down.
  3. Mix soda, sugar, cinnamon and butter in sauce pan then bring to a boil and pour over biscuits.
  4. Bake 30 minutes at 350.

An old colleague of mine used to make something very close to these (without the lime soda) and we used to beg her to make them again and again. They were SOOOOO good! We called them Artery Cloggers :-)
