Once people eat this they cant eat store bought again. i have requests for this as wedding presents! My sisters friend works at Slim Jim and gets all the free stuff he wants. I swear, he wont even eat it now.

Ingredients
  • I have guarded this recipe forever, I am breaking my silence. Now what will I make?
  • 1 bottle Allegro Marinade Original
  • 1 Bottle Szechuan Hot and Spicy
  • 1 TBS crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp onion salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper blend
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 TBS liquid smoke

Directions
  1. mix ingredients let sit for one day(minus the meat!)
  2. cut meat into 1/8 strips(easier to do if meat is slightly frozen
  3. let meat sit in marinade for 24 hours
  4. place on racks in oven or dehydrator for 6-8 hours at 145 degrees

Great recipe! The Slim Jims and mass produced jerky products on the market don't have ANYTHING on some good homemade jerky!

I like the use of the Szechuan Hot and Spicy sauce...good touch. I have been looking for a new jerky recipe to try. This looks like it!

I don't eat animal flesh so this recipe is very unappealing. Are there are veggie jerky recipes out there?
