Candied Fruit Cobbler

- 1 recipe rich kuchen pastry or biscuit dough to fit a biscuit pan shopping list
- rum , vanilla, lemon or almond extract to flavor dough shopping list
- candied fruit, about one cup, esp candied cherries finely diced shopping list
- gold and dark raisins as desired ( plump in rum.brandy and drain well ) optional shopping list
- finely chopped nuts as desired ( optional )- mom did not use nuts in this recipe shopping list
- powdered sugar icing or sugary glaze as desired or just dusting of powder sugar shopping list

How to make it
- Grease a 7 x 11 inch biscuit pan.
- Prepare you favorite rich baking powder/kuchen /pastry and flavor it with rum, almond or vanilla. etc.
- Stir in finely diced candied fruit that has been coated with some flour ( add some nuts or raisins as desired - raisins may be plumped in rum and drained etc. ) and pat dough into pan .
- Bake 350 till pale golden and tested done.
- When cool,drizzle with a powdered sugar icing.
- Cut into squares.
