Cazayoux Smothered Pork Chops Recipe
This a very delicious flavorful pork chop recipe. You will be asking for a second helping. Tastes fantastic over steamed rice or hot cooked noodles.

Ingredients
  • 6 pork chops
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (3 oz.) can french fried onions

Directions
  1. In a large skillet, brown pork chops and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place chops in a casserole dish. In same skillet, melt butter, add mushroom slices and saute 2 minutes. Add soup and water; heat, stirring until well blended. Add parsley, sour cream and 1/2 can of onions. Mix well; pour over pork chops. Cover and bake in a 350* oven for 1 hour. Remove cover and sprinkle remaining onions on top. Return to oven for 5 minutes more.
