Marble Bars

Another family favorite. This is a quick bar recipe that includes ingredients you will have in your pantry. Betcha can't eat just one fresh from the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 T. flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- , 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 c. butter shopping list
- 6 T. white sugar shopping list
- 6 T. brown sugar, shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. water shopping list
- Beat in 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup nuts shopping list
- 1- 6 oz. pkg. of choc. chips shopping list
How to make it
- In mixing bowl combine:1 cup + 2 T. flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt
- Blend: 1/2 c. butter, 6 T. white sugar, 6 T. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1/4 tsp. water,
- Beat in 1 egg and add flour mixture.
- Mix well.
- Stir in 1/2 cup nuts.Spread in a greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Sprinkle 1- 6 oz. pkg. of choc. chips over the top of the batter.
- Place in oven 1 min.
- Remove from oven and run a knife through the batter to marblize. Return to oven and bake for 10-12 min.
- Baking temp. 375.
- **Spreading the dough is a little tricky.
