Easy Preserved Lemons In A Jar

- 9 whole lemons shopping list
- kosher salt ( softenes the rind and mellows the bitterness of the lemons ) shopping list
- dried spices : thyme, saffron, red chilies, bay leaves, shopping list
- green peppercorns- add as desired shopping list
How to make it
- Boil 6 whole lemons for 5 minutes and drain and cool
- Cut each lemon in half, toss with 1/2 cup kosher salt and pack into jars
- Cover with the juice of 3 more lemons and add enough boiling water to fully submerge lemons in jars.
- Store at least one week room temperature before using.
- Zip up flavor by adding spices to the jar.
- Once the jar is opened, they will last up to a jar in the refrigerator
