Dried Fruit And Nut Crostada

- 1 lg. egg shopping list
- 21/2Tbs packed golden brown sugar shopping list
- 21/2Tbs butter,melted,divided shopping list
- 2Tbs. honey shopping list
- 13/4tsp finely grated orange peel,divided shopping list
- 1/2c shelled unsalted natural pistachios(about 2oz) divided shopping list
- 3/4c(packed) pitted dates(about41/2oz),halved lengthwise shopping list
- 1/2c dried cranberries(about 2oz) shopping list
- 1/2c packed,halved stemmed dried black Mission figs(about 31/2oz) shopping list
- 1 refrigerated pie crust shopping list
- 1c plain whole milk yogurt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk egg.2Tbs.brown sugar ,2Tbs melted butter,honey and 1tsp orange peel in medium bowl.
- Set aside 1Tbs. nuts for garnish. Add remaining nuts and all dried fruit to bowl with egg mixture;toss filling to coat
- Unroll crust onto prepared sheet. Spoon filling into center of crust;spread out in even layer,leaving 11/2-2" border. Fold crust edges over filling,pleating occasionally. Brush crust with remaining 1/2Tba melted butter. Finely chop reserved 1Tbs nuts. Mix chopped nuts ans remaining 1/2Tbs brown sugar in small bowl,sprinkle over crust.
- Bake crostada until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbling in the center,about 40 mins.
- Stir yogurt and remaining 3/4tsp orange peel in small bowl. Serve crostada warm or at room temperature with oranfe flavored yogurt.

You know, I'm not very fond of figs, except for winemaking - but this recipe might just change my mind! Hehehe!! FIVE to ya from this neck of the woods! :+D
