How to make it

  • Cut sausage into 2 inch pieces
  • Place in bottom of crockpot
  • Remove the core from the cabbage and quarter
  • Place in crockpot on top of the sausages
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  • Cover and cook on low all day, up to 10 hours
  • **May quarter a few potatoes and put under the cabbage if there are some who don't like cabbage in your crowd**

    I make my cabbage and Polish sausage/kielbasa this way all the time. I use it as a shortcut for a Polish recipe that my dear Mother-in-law taught me and I absolutely love it. I usually add some chicken broth and a couple of teaspoons of butter but quite honestly the butter isn't necessary. Love this recipe and it's a "5" fork plus!!!

    I started a cabbage group and added your recipe to it, hope you don't mind. This is a really good, simple recipe for a busy day. :)
