Stir Fried Green Beans Recipe
You Could easily use this method for a variety of veggies.

Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs green beans
  • 2 Tbl dry sherry
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken-flavored stock
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1 T sherry
  • couple drops sesame oil
  • 1 - 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 scallions, sliced

Directions
  1. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain, run under
  2. cool water to stop cooking and pat dry.
  3. Heat wok over medium high heat. Add sherry, garlic and ginger. Stir
  4. for a few seconds. Add green beans and stir for a minute. Add stock,
  5. soy sauce, sesame oil. Combine sherry and cornstarch. Add to wok. Stir.
  6. Reduce to simmer and cook for another 3 minutes until sauce is
  7. thickened. Stir in scallions and serve.

This sounds great. I make my green beans similar with soy sauce and cracked black pepper, but without the ginger,broth, sherry and cornstarch. Will have to try! Thanks, deb
