Hang Around French Toast

- Bread: shopping list
- 1 loaf French bread shopping list
- 8 eggs shopping list
- 3 cups milk shopping list
- 2 tbsp sugar shopping list
- splash vanilla shopping list
- pinch cinnamon shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 2 sticks butter shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp corn syrup shopping list
- pinch cinnamon shopping list
- Syrup: shopping list
- 1.5 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup water shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp maple flavor shopping list
How to make it
- **NIGHT BEFORE**
- slice bread into 20 pieces
- butter 13x9 dish
- place bread in 3 rows, overlapping
- combine all other "bread" items with electric mixer
- pour over bread to cover all slices, lifting and spooning mixture in between all pieces
- cover and place in fridge overnight
- **NEXT MORNING**
- preheat oven to 350
- cream together all "topping" items
- spread over bread using it all
- bake uncovered 40 minutes or until golden
- **MAKING SYRUP**
- heat to boiling all "syrup" items except maple at medium heat
- stir constantly
- remove from heat then add maple flavoring
- ***can use bought syrup if you choose, it is just as good. or pour bought syrup in boiler and heat...I doubt they'll know the difference***
