How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 with rack in middle of oven.
  • Use a melon baller to core apples leaving 1/2" apple at bottom and forming 1/2" cavity in apple.
  • Remove a 1" strip of peel from top of apples then place in baking dish.
  • In a small bowl combine cranberries, nuts, syrup and cinnamon.
  • Fill apple cavities with mixture.
  • Use some of the syrup left in the bottom of the bowl to brush tops of apples.
  • Pour apple cider into bottom of baking dish and cover dish with foil and bake 50 minutes.
  • Cool apples to lukewarm and serve with cooking juices and yogurt.
