Marys Cornbread

A friend shared this recipe for an easy cornbread that is a little on the sweet side. It goes great with a bowl of chili or my Spicy Sausage Cheese Chowder.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 2 whole eggs; beaten shopping list
- 1 cup lowfat 1% milk shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal shopping list
How to make it
- Mix all ingredients just until moist.
- Bake in a greased 9" square pan at 400ยบ for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Serve hot with plenty of butter and honey on the side.
