Freezer Biscuits

These are so easy to make and freeze. when you want them - just bake them! Hot biscuits to add to any meal and make it even more special!

Freezer biscuits shopping list
2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
2 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar shopping list
1/2 cup shortening shopping list
2/3 cup milk shopping list
1 egg shopping list
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cream of tartar; mix well. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk and egg until smooth. shopping list
Turn dough onto lightly floured board or cloth and knead 4 or 5 times. roll out dough and cut into biscuits. Arrange biscuits on a cookie sheet, cover and freeze. After they are frozen, transfer to and store them in a freezer bag. shopping list
Do not thaw to bake. Bake in preheated 450 degree F oven for 15 minutes. shopping list
Makes 12 to 16 biscuits shopping list

tsar - try a lighter hand with your biscuit dough; also check the date/freshness of your baking powder -

I've been looking for a biscuit dough I can freeze. I have a huge brunch I am doing in November. THX :)
