This is always on the table for Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house. Mom has been making this for over 40 years and it is really good.

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces raspberry gelatin powder
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda
  • 4 cups apples; peeled and grated
  • 1/2 cup celery; diced fine
  • 1/2 cup walnuts; chopped

Directions
  1. In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water, then add cold water and soda.
  2. Refrigerate until syrupy and partially set.
  3. Fold in remaining ingredients until well mixed.
  4. Chill until set.
