Prize Winning Apple Sour Cream Pecan Pie

- Double crust pastry for 9 or 10 inch pie shopping list
- 7 to 8 large pie apples shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 Tbs flour shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- pecan topper; shopping list
- 1/2 cup crushed or chopped pecans shopping list
- a bit of sugar and cinnamon to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Into a bottom pastry lined 10 inch pie pan place sliced and peeled apples.
- Mix together, vanilla, sour cream, sugar, flour and combine well.
- Pour over apples evenly.
- Mix together pecans, sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over sour cream mixture.
- Place on top crust, crimp edges to seal and vent pie in several places.
- Bake in a 375F oven about one hour or apples tender.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Serve room temp or well chilled.
- Ice cream goes great with this pie
