these little babies are much more palatable than the oaten cakes of our Irish ancestors.. the Irish mist is a liqueur made from old Irish whiskey, herbal essences, honey.this is the nearest to the old heather wine or mead which was known as( the dainty drink of nobles). Ingredients

6- savarin dough rings ( baba) shopping list
1- cup heavy cream shopping list
1- reg pkg green jello( prepared according to pkg) shopping list
1/2 - cup Irish Mist liqueur shopping list

How to make it

dip baked rings .......in the liqueur.
fill each ring with whipped cream and sprinkle with the chopped green jello

Savarin is a delicious cake - the name was given after the famous French gourmet Brillat-Savarin. I am not sure if he is the one that invented it or it has just been named in his honor, I would have to google it to find out exactly. This type of pastry is usually made with a generous Rum based syrup and whipped cream. I know all this, because I am addicted to this delicious dessert. This is obviously an Irish version, as the syrup has been replaced with a delicious Irish Mist Liquor and instead the peach glaze, Mini added the Irishman's lucky color: Green - well done mini!

Sounds interesting - but to be honest I haven't a clue what baba is or savarin dough. ??? And I'm part Irish! LOL
