Bean Chowder

- 1 1/2 T minced onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed shopping list
- 1 T oil shopping list
- 1 can diced tomato shopping list
- 2 - 14 1/2 oz cans Swanson seasoned chicken broth or vegetable broth shopping list
- 1 3/4 c water shopping list
- 1/2 t each: basil, oregano and celery salt or to taste shopping list
- 1/4 t pepper shopping list
- 2 -15 oz cans navy beans shopping list
- 1 c uncooked macaroni shopping list
- 1/2 T parsley flakes shopping list
How to make it
- In a large saucepan, saute garlic in oil until tender.
- Add onions and stir.
- Add the diced tomatoes.
- Siimmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the broth, water and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add beans, macaroni and parsley; return to a boil.
- Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until macaroni is tender.
