How to make it

  • Mix sugar, butter (melted), milk, orange juice and rind, and cream of tartar.
  • Cook until mixture forms soft ball in cold water.
  • Remove from fire.
  • Add nuts and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
  • Set aside until cool.
  • Beat until creamy.
  • When firm, cut into squares.
