How to make it

  • Stack the 8 basil leaves and roll lengthwise, so that the stems are parallel to the roll.
  • Slice the roll perpendicularly into thin strips.
  • In a blender, purée strawberries with 2 ounces simple syrup. In a cocktail shaker, add strawberry purée, basil, lime juice and remaining simple syrup.
  • Fill shaker with ice.
  • Add gin and Cointreau.
  • Shake well and strain into cocktail glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a sprig of basil.

    This is so good it defies words....I am still struggling to find a way to five in so I can be a fan...I am getting a Mac and that will let me do it! but consider both hands with five so that totals 10 and your recipes are!!! both hands now...you have such creativity and taste....pw aka susie
